The Project
Rural Africa Water Development Project's business is the manufacturing and sales of household Mor-sand water filters for the Niger Delta's polluted oil producing communities. The aim is to maximize the quality of the drinking water and improve health standards for the region's inhabitants. In producing these filters, RAWDP also intends to train independent entrepreneurs on how to make them, thus assisting them to earn livelihood and widen distribution within record time
About the filter production:
- the raw materials required for construction are readily sourced from most communities
- making of the filter requires no electricity and does not discriminate on water quality for its production
- RAWDP and partners have skill, know-how and four years of experience with the communities and terrain
